Over 100,000 Student and Graduate Student members worldwide makeup 25% of the membership of IEEE and are essential to its continued growth and vitality. Not only is IEEE the world’s largest technical and professional society, but it also publishes a significant amount of electrical engineering and computer science literature in the world. As one of the IEEE student branch, students will experience various activities such as workshops, seminar, training, and other IEEE community meeting.

Research is one of the nature as an electrical engineering student. Not just as their final project, research already the part of students daily activity and spread into various fields such as control and automation, electronics and embedded system, programming, and many other fields. The research will help the students to extend their skills through the next level.

Various competitions between students have also been attended by our electrical engineering students, both at national and international levels. UII Electrical Engineering students play an active role in the competition that engages the robotic field and student research that oriented to provide ideas and solutions in social problems with their appropriate products.

Some competitions that are regularly followed by our students are the national robot contest, Student Creativity Competition (PKM), and many incidental competitions that are in line with the research field of students in our department.
