About Us

The Electrical Engineering Study Program (PSTE) was established on July 22, 1997, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 215/DIKTI/Kep/1997. Initially led by Ir. Hj. Budi Astuti, M.T., PSTE had a single concentration, Electronics. In 2005, a new concentration in Control was added, followed by introduction of the Telecommunications concentration in 2009. From 2013 to 2017, PSTE has encompassed four fields of expertise/concentrations: Control, Telecommunications, Power, and Biomedical.

In 2000, PSTE obtained a C accreditation from the National Accreditation Board (BAN) under Decree No. 010/BAN-PT/Ak-IV/VI/2000. Subsequently, in 2011, the Electrical Engineering program obtained a B accreditation from BAN-PT under No. 032/BAN-PT/Ak-XIV/S1/X/2011. In 2016, PSTE at UII received an A accreditation from BAN-PT under Decree No. 0944/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VI/2016. This accreditation was maintained by PSTE until 2026 with the accreditation certificate BAN-PT No. 8835/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/VI/2021. In the same year, PSTE was awarded an Excellent accreditation with certificate BAN-PT No. 11361/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/S/X/2021. Lastly, PSTE has upheld its quality as an excellent study program with international standards through accreditation from the Indonesia Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) with certificate No. 00083. A awarded on February 10, 2022.

Vision

The Electrical Engineering Department strives to become an excellent Electrical Engineering study program in education and research at the Asian level by 2030, as well as to actively participate in empowering the community.

Mission

  1. To conduct internationally standardized electrical engineering education based on Islamic values.
  2. To produce competitive alumni with global competencies.
  3. To generate innovative, high-quality research recognized at the national and international levels, contributing to scholarly advancements and solutions for societal issues.
  4. To organize service activities that are innovative and in line with Islamic teachings for the benefit of the community.

Learning Outcomes

Graduate Learning Outcomes (LLOs) or student outcomes (SO) are the minimum abilities that must be possessed by graduates which include attitudes, knowledge and skills. ELOs are formulated by PSTE based on the results of graduate search, stakeholder input, professional associations, scientific developments and from the results of previous curriculum evaluations. The preparation of SLOs also refers to SN-Dikti which includes aspects of attitudes, general skills, special skills, and knowledge. In addition, it also refers to the KKNI descriptors according to the qualification level. Criteria set by national and international accreditation bodies such as IABEE are also taken into consideration in the formulation of SLOs for study programs.
